During his creation of the timeline he even came across various inconsistencies’ (to be expected with a game lore that began way back in the 90’s), a testament to the amount of effort and painstaking research that must have gone into this project. Speaking with Eurogamer in an interview- which I will link here– TheBatMan revealed that his 2,700 page long behemoth of a chronology has taken him over ten years to complete, starting from scratch back in 2009 after finding more content on the games narrative from Japanese supplement texts to the games.

The super fan and Resident Evil expert has spent the last ten years of their life writing, editing and revising an insanely comprehensive chronology of the events of the Resident Evil series. TheBatMan is a hugely respected individual within the Resident Evil fandom and for good reason. Capcom’s zombie horror video game series Resident Evil has its fair share of hard-core, devoted fans but none compare to one fan who goes by the name of TheBatMan online.
